002: Got the Busy, Busy Blues

I hate those days when you have too much to do but all you want to do it sit down with some nice yarn and start hookin'. Spring term is out this month and I can't wait for summer to start. This is going to be the last week of classes and then final week will begin. There is so much to get done in the mean time but my WIPs just keep calling to me. I want to see them completed so badly! Ah, it's terrible to be responsible sometimes.

I've finally settled on a pattern for the Healing Shawl I'm going to make for my Jewish Prof. I'd say it's may 1/3 to 1/2 of the way done but it's hard to tell. I'll keep working on it until it feels done. Shawls and scarfs are like that. You just sort of hold them up one day and say 'Yeah, thats good' and feel accomplished for finally finishing a piece.

Picking out the pattern for this project was QUITE an ordeal. I tried several different options but whenever I would get any significant portion finished, I'd start to hate the pattern and rip it all out again. I swear, this is the last time I'm going to work it up. I swear. I'm happy with how it's turning out and color is as gorgeous as ever. If you haven't considered using Peace Fleece for any of your wool projects I suggest you give it a try. The company has an amazing mission statement and the color of the yarn is just...wow, the pictures I have do not do it justice.

Current WIPs:
Tiramisu Baby Blanket
Black Zip Up Jacket
Random Knitting Experiment
